Don't listen to these women telling you to get it out ASAP because everyone's body is different and will handle certain birth controls differently. I know people who are fine using the birth control that was awful for me and there's women I know and the women on these comments saying they love this birth control. Let your body adjust to it, see if you like it, if you don't THEN go have it taken out. Don't freak out and go get it taken out just because someone told you it was awful

Agreed! I have had an awful experience but my sister hasn't had a period since she got it in 2 years ago and hasn't had any bad side effects!

PREACH🙌🏻 it almost seems like everyone that hasn't had it kept telling me not to get it but I asked most of my friends that have it and they have no problems

EVERYBODY IS DIFFERENT. Remember that. I have had it for a few months, and I got it on my period. I immediately stopped, and my only problem was itchiness on the mark it gave me. I have recently started my period again, about three weeks ago, nothing bad, just annoying. They can give you pills to stop it . Don't listen to the ones saying take it out based on their personal experience. Focus solely on how you feel and react to it.

A lot of people have a really great experience with it and it's amazingly effective, one of the most! My close friends got it done as a suggestion from me before I got mine and she's had an amazing experience with it, her periods are lighter but still regular. Despite this, I personally have had a dreadful experience, it started off with one very heavy period that lasted ten days, the next month my period started as expected (which was in March) and is yet to stop... It isn't heavy, just regular. With this I get usual symptoms of a period, cramps, mood swings, etc. Due to this I'm getting the coil fitted next week in hopes to have a better result, and I'm then getting my implant removed. I don't want to scare you off as most people have a wonderful experience, I'd just like to let you know that not everyone has a fantastic experience. I hope this isn't the case for you and that this has been helpful! Good luck to you! 😊

Yeah, I had the mini pill as well from late April and even that didn't help! I just had my mirena coil fitted yesterday so fingers crossed it will help

Once I got mine I didn't bleed for a month and a half then I started bleeding and it lasted for four months. I went to the doctor and they gave me bc pills as well the bleeding stopped for a week and started up again and lasted three more weeks it stopped and then started again for another week and a half I called the doctor they said nothing was wrong I bled again another week and called to have it taken out from the time I called and it was taken out I bled for 3 weeks and I bled for another week after it was taken out. Then I got a regular period and then I got pregnant. But basically I bled the entire time which really sucked. I spent a ridiculous amount of money on tampons it was not worth it. Get it out asap!

Different woman have different reactions to the implant but telling someone to get there's out BC you had a bad experience is pretty rude love! Everyone is different, there's no need to scare her into having it took out for the sake of someone else's bad experience🙄

If you start feeling depressed even slightly go to a doctor and demand they put you on some form of hormone control! I got it when I was 14 and would've had it in for 3 years a week ago, within the first few months started noticing minor mood swings, they got increasingly worse to the point where I was depressed which ended with a suicide attempt 3 months ago! Got it taken out 2 months ago and haven't felt like that since. It was crazy, I felt like a totally different person! I'm fully aware it's different for everyone but for someone with no history of mental health problems before getting nexplanon, or since having it out, it's worth keeping an eye on! The good thing is when I had it put in I had a month long period then didn't have another the whole time I was on it!

I actually made a post about a small issue. You might get a stinging or sharp pain every niw and again but it seems to happen to everyone. Dont mess around with it too much cause even after 3 months its sensitive to the muscle

Lucky! Lol maybe it's because I got mine like an hour before I had to go to work. Does your arm hurt or anything still?
