Period returning question !

Okay so my son is 12 weeks old today! I got my first period when he was 7 weeks 3 days to be exact, the first one was sooo heavy ! And long. I am on my second period now and it is the heaviest thing ever !!! Like super tampons don't work, I soak threw them and have to change it like every hour or two and even bleed through a  pad ! What is going on?!?? Anyone else experience something like me
