Those with "place" names?

If you have a state/city/country/continent/place name what was it like growing up with it. Positive or negative reactions? Did your name get made fun of at all?

I worked with brothers named Dallas and Denver. They hated their names. They always got made fun of in school.

My sons name is Austin. We are making it a point not to name this baby with a place name so people don't think it's a theme.

I named my daughter Brooklyn, but I spell it Brooklynn. Everyone says it's a pretty name when they hear it. We call her Brook for short. She is almost 7.
