39 weeks on Thursday
So I just got out of my appt with my midwife and she made me feel bad...made me feel like I was being lazy. I'm 39 weeks on Thurs and actually just got a job at 33 weeks! I only work 3/4 days a week but I had so much energy in my 2nd trimester that I had to work because I was going stir crazy. When I told her on my days off, that I relax and like to put my feet up (despite my sciatica) and she said "you should be up making casseroles and soups, preparing" 😳 I was shocked and she made me feel pretty bad 😕 I've done some preparation for food but I have a very supportive, helpful husband that I'm sure will make sure we are fed as will I. I also told her that it's hard to climb my stairs all day which is why I don't go up and down them all day, she said something like "well haha you'll soon have a baby to do it with so get used to it" of course I know that but I plan on baby wearing so my hands will be free plus walking stairs with extra weight on your front side in one concentrated area and someone sitting on your diaphragm is totally different than holding a baby with your own body back and distributing the weight that makes it easier for you. I guess I'm just venting because she just made me feel pretty bad, like I was lazy. I just don't think it's cool to make a pregnant gal feel this way. I mean, are there no women at 39 weeks putting their feet up and relaxing? My last day at work is on Sunday btw, 39 weeks 3 days
