Baby boys with ear piercings?

Has anyone ever gotten their sons ears pierced when they were little or know anyone who has? And what is your veiw/opinion on it.

Please don't. Since it is not as normal for boys to get their ears pierced, he is more likely to be made fun of in school. Also, this should be his decision when he is older since it is not as common.

I wouldn't even pierce a baby girl's ears...so definitely not a baby boy!

Personally I wouldn't pierce a baby girls ears nor would I do a baby boys. I feel they should be old enough to say one way or another what they want. It leaves a permanent mark which I don't thinks fair to assume the child wants that. Everyone's views are different though.

One of my brothers has two boys. He had not one ear pierced but both ears pierced on each boy and it looks awful. I think if you want one ear done then I say go ahead and go for it.

I always knew that when I had children I would be getting their ears pierced when they were babies whether it was a girl or boy. I had my sons left ear pierced when he was a newborn at the same time as his twin sister had her ears pierced. Afterwards I really wished that I had pierced both of his ears - his right ear didn't look right without a stud in it. Once their ears had healed I had his right ear pierced and a second hole pierced in his left ear at the same time as I had his twin sisters ears double pierced. 
I think it looks really cute to see a baby or toddler boy with pierced ears and almost all of my friends with boys pierced their ears when they were babies or toddlers.
I have recently been working part time in a jewellers and we have a lot of baby boys being brought in to have their ears pierced - where we live most boys have at least one ear pierced by the time they start playschool. (Also by the same age it is unusual if a girl hasn't had her ears pierced at least twice with a lot, my daughters included having had their ears pierced several times).
I hope you are thinking about getting your sons ears pierced and if you do I would recommend getting both his ears pierced rather than just the one although I still think that is better than nothing having his ears pierced at all.

We are planning too - just one ear though like his dad :) We are also planning to pierce our daughter's ears.

No matter what gender the baby is I think it's their decision as they get older. I hate having holes in my ears just because "girls should get their ears pierced as a baby". I don't even wear earrings and I haven't since my mother stopped putting them on me in like 4th grade.
