Induction question

Laura
If your doc gave you an option to either be induced on Friday 39 w and 6 days or Monday 40 w and 2 days. Which would you choose and why? Lol. These are my options and would like some insight. (Aside from the obvious option of baby comes on his own obviously lol)

I would wait to see if you go into labor on your own...induction is no fun!! I picked induction with my first at 40 + 3 and it was a long hard labor. This time I will wait it out until I am forced to do an induction....hopefully she will come on her own.

Ditto - this is my first and I plan to wait it out for him to come naturally as long as possible ❤️ good luck!

I agree! I was induced at 37 weeks due to preeclampsia and even tho my labor was only 8 hrs it felt like torture. So I refuse to get induced unless it's medically necessary

Same exact thing happened to me at 40+3 last time. Will wait this one out. I was in labor for 30 hours and it was a horrible experience being induced.

It depends on your level of patience. 😂

I just got induced yesterday at 39 and I would do it again! I'm glad I did because he would have been bigger if I waited another week and I would be in even more pain lol just do what you're comfy doing. I had been in a lot of pain too and had trouble walking/sitting due to back/sciatic nerve pain so it seemed like a good option!  I had my daughter normal, so I was afraid of being induced this time and what it would be like but it was seriously just fine and not really that different. Her labor was only about 4 hrs and this new one was only 5! Good luck!

I would be induced at 40+2. I've gave my body a chance to start up by itself. I was induced and ended with a csection, with my second delivery. Not everyone's case just mine.

I would wait longer, to give you the chance to go on your own over the weekend

If I had an option, I'd choose Monday at 40+2. The longer baby bakes, the better (you never know, your dude date could be a little off too)

My OB says 39 weeks is the perfect time to give birth👍🏼 I hope that's the case for me!
