Baby registry must haves?

What are some must haves for you and baby that you were so glad you put on your registry or bought?

Rock n play sleeper we used through 4 months when she moved to her crib.

Ergo baby carrier with infant insert, keeps baby happy and hands free...very helpful.

Swaddles with Velcro...it took forever for me to accomplish a good swaddled and my husband never really got it since he always used the Velcro...you'll need a few, they get pooped on along with everything else...I wish I'd taken mine to the hospital, I had a sad defeated inability to swaddle her the first night...nurses saved the day when I threw in the towel.

Infant optics dxr-5 camera is great for the money, it's as simple as a just sound monitor with the bonus if a picture for $99

Sleep sacks for cold months.

Sound machine with subtle night light. I left mine on when she was in my room so I could see her when I woke 10 times a night.  We had to order ours after the first night since I couldn't operate in the dark.

We also ordered a wipes warmer after the first night because wiping without putting the wipes in my shirt to warm them caused voracious screaming.

The next baby I'm trying out blowout blocker to see if it helps with all the poo in the first few months.

Gripe water for hiccups and fussiness, miracle worker

Infant carrier car seat, bonus if it clicks into a stroller

Aside from diapers/clothes, those items got me through the first 4 months, she never took to swings or bouncers and we did tummy time on our tummies since she didn't do well on the mat.  Most useless thing was a bumbo seat, it's been a great doorstop...she never sat in it, then her thighs were too fat by 4 months

I'm registered for cloth diaper supplies, a swing, a travel system, a Pack-n-Play with bassinet attachment, the ergo baby carrier, certain first aid supplies, a big box of baby wipes (they're good for everything, my husband even likes to use them when he #2s lol), medicine, bottles and accessories, some clothes, a play yard (the kind that comes in panels and you can use outside)... I have a lot of mom friends and I babysit my niece and nephew alot so I just paid attention and whatever I found useful and used alot when babysitting and what my friends found useful I registered for.

Here's a strange one. I wish I had registered for Viva paper towels. They are the only thing I use for making wipes. Much much cheaper than Huggies or Pampers. You just use water and a little coconut oil, and some baby soap if you want, and they are fabulous!!

A friend recommended a video baby monitor. They're more expensive, but if you can do it, get one! We found one at a Black Friday sale for 60% off (our first baby was born Dec 20). I'm so glad we got one. It's really nice to see if baby is moving around or playing and not napping, even if he's quiet. When my son got older, I turned it on for a minute before I went to bed just to check on him, then turned it off. I'm looking forward to using it again with this baby.

I'm due January 17th with my first baby  and one of the things I totally want is a Baby Bullet! You can make all your own baby food with it :) Also want a baby carrier so I can use both hands and still have my baby close to me! Plus it'll be great for hikes and travel :)

Some sort of play pen! I'm a FTM and only 10 weeks but from having my niece and nephews around the play pen seems essential to surviving motherhood lol!

Girl, an ergo or some kind of baby carrier. LIFE SAVER. we have used our carriers at least 5 days a week since our son was born. Moby wraps are also great for when you have an infant, that was my  partners favorite, but this time im going for woven wraps, because there are so many different ways to carry your babe. 😊 look in to it, pick a style that suits you and put it on your registry. I would not have survived motherhood without my carriers!

rock n play! My little girl won't sleep in her crib, so the rock n play is a life saver. She sleeps all night in it.
