Likelihood of this happening??

Question

I had a miscarriage on May 8th, at 17+3 what is the likelihood of me ending up pregnant after my first cycle? 
My new doctor is extremely optimistic about me having another baby and she said she do everything possible to make sure my cervix doesn't begin to open like it did with my son.

@Krystle I'm sorry for your loss. I miscarried in March at 18 + 2. I still hadn't gotten my period after 8 weeks so my dr prescribed provera to start up my cycle. This month was my first cycle that came naturally without the meds, so we are going to try when I ovulate in a few days. I used preseed and ovulation predictor when I got pregnant the first time.

Did you have any cramping or anything before your miscarriage? I had light cramps that I didn't think anything of and then I had severe pain, which were contractions but I had no idea at the time. Shortly after, my water broke and I had to be rushed to the hospital. I still don't have any answers why this happened and I might never know. I had a biopsy on my cervix the year before, so I was thinking it was my cervix but the doctors haven't given me any concrete answers. So frustrating. I hope we get our rainbow babies soon!

The OBs tell me it's not anymore likely to happen again just because it happened once. Your odds of having a miscarriage are the same as if it didn't even happen. Your odds only go up if you have 3 miscarriages in a row or because of age. (That's what the OBs were telling me anyway).. And right now I'm going to choose to believe them and just pray that when AF returns to me and we Start TTC that this doesn't happen again.

I miscarried on June 2nd at 15weeks 3 days. It tore my heart out. To be in the "safe zone" and telling everyone and then just like that it's over. Just terrible. Very sorry for your loss.
So sucky and unfair this happens. :(
