When should I take an ovulation prediction test?

Hi, I've been trying to get pregnant since August.  I'm thinking of using ovulation prediction tests but I want to know what day during my fertile week to take it, and how many days I should take it. How many should I buy?

I bought like 20 and just started using one every day after my period ended. My cycles were long, so I had been missing the mark. Now I'm doing the same thing to try to get pregnant again. I'm testing out this app's predictions, lol. ;)

Every other or every 3rd day then it gets darker until actual ovulation once you get a faint positive start dtd daily

I suggest going on amazon and buy a pack of 40 or 50 (some also come with hpt s) you can get it around 20 bucks or so. A lot cheaper than spending 40 or 50 bucks from buying one at the store with 7 or so.

It will usually tell you in the pack, but from what I remember, it all depends on how long your cycle usually is. Mine is about 27 or 28 days and the instructions recommended I start around day 9 or 10. I got my first positive I think at day 12 and I ended up confirming ovulation to be on day 13 with my temp.

I would recommend also tracking you bbt as well. It will help you to confirm your ovulation. Taking charge of your fertility by Toni weschler is a good book to read to learn everything you need to know.
