First time mommy?

What should I expect at my first appointment? My mom and mother in law are going to the ultra sound should I ask the to wait in the waiting room for my actual appointment?  I am so excited!!!!

First appt if you're low risk is usually 10-12 weeks. It's your baby and if you don't want them there tell them to stay in the waiting room or don't come at all. Since its your first, I personally think that should be reserved for your partner or baby's father only if they're in your life. But that's just me. I didn't invite my family with my first until 20 weeks and 39 weeks. But the first was my mom and grandma and the latter was my mother in law because my husband couldn't make it.

Just know your first appt isn't just an ultrasound. They'll do a physical and vaginal and breast exam. It can be embarrassing to have extra people in the room. But it's your choice. Good luck.

Awwwww congrats! Doc will probably do a physical exam and if you have an US scheduled that will be done too (transvaginal I assume) bloodwork and a Q&A. Enjoy it! There is nothing like the first appt
