Sharing a little love.

I lost my bestest friend of 20 years to cancer on June 20th, 2012. She was diagnosed too late. It had settled in her lung and from there went to her brain. They found it because the tumors started causing siezures. They tried to shrink the tumors with radiation, but it wasn't effective at all. The cancer had taken over and she passed away 4 months after being diagnosed. She fought strong and hard for those 4 months. I miss her every day and she is always in my heart and on my mind.

My mother has had three very hard battles as well. She was diagnosed with stage 3 Ovarian cancer about 17-18 years ago. With surgery and chemo, she beat it!!! Then about 7 years later, it came back. Again, she had surgery and chemo and beat it again!!! And in December of 2012 she was diagnosed with breast cancer. They caught it early. She has a double mastectomy and took a daily light dose of chemo. She is cancer free now. She is the strongest woman I know and each time something happens she's ready to go with treatment. She's not going to let cancer beat her.

My older sister was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer 8 or 9 years ago. She also had a double mastectomy and reconstructive surgery, and went through chemo. She also fought a very tough battle and beat it!!!

There are so many more people in my life that have gone through this battle. Some have lost their battle, but I am happy to say that most in my life have won.

The reason for this post...

I would like to give a shout out to all those who have gone through, are going through or have lost their battle with cancer. I have not had it myself, but have seen first hand the battle you are going through. I have the utmost respect for all of you and wanted to send my love and prayers (if you pray) your way.

This is also for all of those supporting friend and family going through this battle. Everyone needs a right hand man. You're all angels for being there when you're needed the most.

Sorry for the long post. I just really felt like sharing. Please feel free to share your stories and send your love and prayers.
