Getting pregnant

My husband wants to have a baby. And I know that it it really doses not take long to get pregnant. And I don't know how I feel about it but I was thinking what if we had sex once a month were we could possibly have a baby. That way it can give me time and give him what he wants. I do want kids but I know that it dose not always happen right away
