Freaking out?!

Okay I have a portal through the hospital I get seen at. I just looked at it and saw this? The "care plan" usually only says HCG for what I'm getting done for blood tests but says tumor marker? I can't call till tomorrow morning as they are closed by have no idea why that is there??

It's almost always automatic testing. Some tumors release HCG, and can mimic a pregnancy. So they test to make sure it is actually a pregnancy and not a tumor.

I did some googling & looks like HCG can also indicate tumors (benign or cancerous) & the beta form tells you if it's normal pregnancy HCG or not. (I'm NOT a doctor.) It's bad for your baby to stress, so don't stress!! I imagine that if they were actually concerned, they would have told you.
