Getting Married Young

Hey so me and my boyfriend (18 & 19) are engaged and we can't wait to spend the rest of our lives together. I made the mistake of posting anonymously on Yik Yak about it. I was seeking to try and toughen my skin for when we told our friends and family about it. But honestly the comments I got just made me feel like shit. They called me a bitch and said that I was f***ing stupid. I know that I should prepare myself for that but it was hard to hear. I've noticed that on here you guys are much nicer and actually try to help and have a discussion. What do you guys think about getting engaged young? Just some info about us is that I skipped a grade and started college at 16 and am now an RA on my campus and he is in a very selective program in the US Navy. We've been dating for 8 months and we both just know that we have found the one. We just know. We have sat and talked about this for hours and we do not take this decision lightly. We really want to plan and have the best future possible. We are constantly trying to find things that we can do that will help us as a couple after we are married and that will keep our relationship healthy and strong. Please comment anything you think that could help!
