Does the media have an agenda?

I think the media is definitely pushing an agenda. Right now, if you don't agree with the LGBT lifestyle, you hate them. If you do agree, you love them. There seems to be no in between. Is there only love or hate? What agenda do you think the media is pushing?

I'm not going to speak on the subject matter, but the media always has an agenda. So do politicians... Money will always talk.

It's the media, of course there's an agenda and each source of media has a different agenda.

When it comes to human and civil rights there shouldn't be a a middle ground though, your either for it or against. Anything else makes you a fence sitter and in my opinion part of the problem not the solution.

Absolutely, 100%. There is no such thing as objective news anymore.

Mainstream media? Of course there is an agenda. There is an owner (or many) in the mix wanting to make money. Now I'm the editor of a daily newspaper. I'm the next person down from our owner/publisher. It's his company, so if he says I should have a reporter write about _____, I assign it. If he asks me not to use the word 'rape' in a headline, I use 'sexual assault' instead. Of course he has an agenda... And my job is to get the papers off the newsstands. There are certain ways to go about it to ensure that.

It's really regional too. I compared news stories I get (west coast) versus my friend (Midwest), and we get wildly different information- in some cases the exact opposite information. It also depends on if you're watching a liberal vs conservative network, and how superficial the reporting is.

Definitely. They pick and choose what the report on based on what they want viewers to believe and/or focus on ( news stations ). As for actual tv, I don't really watch it all that much

There no inbetween when it comes to supporting and accepting vs. not being supportive and accepting. You're one or the other, there's no helping a community if your allyship is conditional.

But media is biased so it will always have an agenda.
