Group b strep is a bacteria that some people have and others don't, you may also have it one pregnancy and not another... It is not harmful to mommy, just like the millions of other bacteria types we have on us, however it can cause problems for baby. 
They will give you antibiotics in labor (most likely penicillin), you will prob need to receive at least 2 doses before delivery, otherwise they may need to get some bloodwork from baby after delivery.
It is pretty common and not usually a problem:)
