Does sex hurt the first time?

I've read that it does when the "cherry pops" but I've also read that that is just a lie and it just feels like a little pop. But I read the same thing with naval piercings and that hurt like.... 
No hate please, I'd rather know if there will be pain and be ready.

For me, there was no "pop" and there was no bleeding. It wasn't excruciatingly painful, just a little uncomfortable. Oh, and expect to be sore for the next couple days.

The "cherry popping" isn't a good thing lol, you aren't supposed to bleed when you have sex whether it be the 1st or 20th time lol. Make sure you take it slow and go at your own pace. I recommend being on top for a bit, to find your own pace as well as get comfortable. There is some discomfort in the beginning and it shouldn't be "excruciatingly painful" either. If either of those two things happen stop, take a break and make sure you go slow.
And don't worry about if you have an orgasm or not, on most accounts women don't. Got to get used to it and figure out what you like first. Also, make sure protection is used and afterwards you'll definitely feel sore, so wait a bit before trying again. :) Hopefully I've helped some.

It's different for everyone. My first time it didn't hurt one bit. Be sure to prepare the days before. Maybe two or three. Have him finger you. That's what worked for me. Move from to two and if you'd like three. Also, invest in Astroglide. It'll save your life.

Yes it can be painful and there can be bleeding. I would suggest having him finger you some to relax you and stretch things some. My hymen was still very prevalent when I lost my virginity at 30. My now husband took time to stretch it out. He was super patient, made sure that I was enjoying myself. I also suggest lots of lubricant. It helps greatly. The second time was better but you need a bit of time to recover first. Now we enjoy ourselves greatly.
