Well my plan was to just let myself go into labor naturally and just go all natural with my birth. Once we got closer to the due date we realized our lease was up the same week, and we really had to get out of that apartment complex. So we went ahead and induced at 39weeks. I went in at 5a.m and they started me on pitocin to get my contractions started. Everything was going great for awhile, I was already 4cm dilated when they started and I wasn't hurting or anything, I thought this was going to be soooo easy. WRONG. Around 10am my dr came in and said that I was just scratching the surface and not experiencing real labor yet, so he went ahead and broke my water to speed things along. I was already at 14 with my pitocin, so once he broke my water my contractions really kicked in! I was having them every 2 mins and they just kept getting worse. So after an hour of just laboring by myself I finally looked at my husband and told him I wanted the epidural. After I got that I pasted smooth out! I was in actual labor for about 4 hours total. So around 3 they checked and said I was 9cm and it was time to start pushing. I could feel the pressure from his head, which I knew was normal, but it was hurting really bad. I still didn't think anything of it though and just continued to push. Then I was able to start moving my left leg and have feeling in my right leg, so that's when I realized my epidural had worn off and I was having this baby naturally! I don't really remember much because I was just exhausted from pushing, I'm  ut in the end it was worth it! After 2 hours of pushing I had a beautiful baby boy named Atticus! He weighed 9lbs 8oz and was 21 1/2 inches long! We weren't expecting him to be so big! But he was well worth it!
