Trouble sleeping during period?

Am I the only one who can't sleep in or get a lot of sleep when I'm on my period? Or does anyone else have this issue??

It happens with me a lot.. I'm always sleepy before periods.. And sometimes too uncomfortable to sleep during my periods..

Sometimes because I have such excruciating cramps ?

I can never get to sleep the night before I get my period. Pretty much zero sleep the night before and nothing helps. 
I think sleep troubles connected with periods is fairly common. Unfortunately any bodily function being out of wack during your period is probably not abnormal. Periods are just terrible things nature created and kind of like mosquitoes nobody enjoys them.
