Just wondering

So ladies I need help. Im going to get right to the point. I was with my ex boyfriend for 14 months it was great while it lasted. We got into a huge fight and told me to go be with my sons father so stupid freaking me I listened. I think about him alot and now he is found out that he has cancer he has a girlfriend and I try to talk to talk to him but he is happy with his new girlfriend mind you she looks like man lol. Im just confused and concerned about him and my son asks about him all the time. Idk if I should leave alone or keep trying to talk to him.
