Waiting for a ring

So I've been with my dude for (will be 7 years in July) and I'm 24. I know we started to date young but I feel like 7 years is a long time to not get engaged yet? He keeps saying he wants to marry me, but time  keeps passing and I'm getting a little hurt. Should I give myself a timeline to leave if he doesn't propose or am I being irrational? This is so frustrating! I'm so sad seeing people get married and I'm sitting next here like 383893 years later with the same boyfriend lol
