Supplementing!?

Question

What kind of formula did you use to supplement when breastfeeding? My baby is 3 weeks old and I have no idea what to use. Do I need to talk to his pediatrician first? Right now I am exclusively breastfeeding.

I would definitely talk with your child's pediatrician to see what formula they would recomment to supplement with. Depending on if your little one is healthy or have any issues they can tell you which one would be best for your little one to use. Good luck with supplementing and BF.

I use walmarts store brand called Parent's Choice. It's like Similac, just less pricey 😊

We supplement for convenience with enfamil newborn. They come in little bottles that you can just open and put a nipple on, no water to add.  Great for the diaper bag bc I do not breastfeed outside the home.  Also comes in a dry formula that is less $ that we use at home/night when needed.

I had to supplement cause he won't breastfeed but he'll drink breast milk from a bottle. He keeps pushing me away so I just am to a point where I'll pump and not even try to breastfeed him. Cause he doesn't want me. Feels like my regular life. 😢😢😢😢😢😢 I have to supplement with puramino hypoallergenic formula and it's $42 a can hoping I can get wic.

If you are already breastfeeding, I would just continue to breastfeed.
