Day Care Newbie: Son Coughing, Send Him Tomorrow?

Question

New to the daycare scene. My son's first week was this past week. Over the weekend he has developed a cough, some sneezing (no production). I assume he's just dealing with the new germs he encountered at daycare. He's otherwise himself.

Anyway, can I send him to daycare with this cough? Or do I need to keep him home? Thanks.

Did daycare say they won't take him if he's sick? Some have guidelines about what symptoms they won't take. I for sure won't take anyone who has chicken pox or a similar rash (my daughters only 8m old), but pretty much anything else except sever vomiting I will watch cuz kids get sick and no matter what someone's going to pass it around.

at the daycares I've worked at, you aren't suppose to send them if they have thrown up within 24hours or have had a fever within 24 hours. Same at the preschool I currently work at. They have to be "symptom free: no Puke, no diarrhea, no fever" for 24 hours

At my current job, we send kids home the first time they puke, if they have a fever over 100 or have diarrhea twice or more.
Some daycares have a rule of a fever over 101 and they have the throw up or have diarrhea 3 times before they are sent home

I work at a daycare and people send their kids with full blown colds and diarrhea and all this other crap so sending them in with a minor cough probably wouldn't be horrible.
