Have any of you delayed getting your umbilical cord clamped? Or If you haven't delivered yet are you considering it?

Did it with both my babies. You won't even notice it happening because you are to busy meeting your baby for the first time. I believe it's becoming common practice with most hospitals.

my doctor did it without even asking and I'm so glad she did! it was on my list of things to ask about but I kept forgetting, right before her head popped out my doctor informed me that was the plan!

I would want to do it with my second since I didn't know of this with my first. I will tell my Dr when the time comes. I want to do it for at,least 2 mins.

We did delayed cord clamping with our little  girl on 6/15/16 and her Apgar score was 8 at 1 minute and 9 on minute 3. She was very healthy and great coloring.

We had delayed clamping with our 1st AND donated the cord blood. We will have delayed clamping again this time around but can't donate because our hospital is lame.

Yes, we did but only for about 1-2 minutes. :-) She scored a 9!
