Cutting work hours?

When did everyone's doctors/midwife's cut down you working? I'm 27 weeks and I'm on my feet 9 hours a day and my job is very stressful. I really feel like I can't do this anymore working this much; but it seems like my midwife doesn't want me to cut my hours anytime soon and I don't know what to do. I just can't deal with the stress from work.

You have to voice with your doctor your concerns and wants. My doctor hasn't mentioned cutting my hours. But I've also voiced my drive to work as much as possible as long as possible until babies born. I'm 33 weeks.

I wasn't doing well pain wise from all the changes my body was undergoing. That coupled with depression made me decide it was time to go out on short term disability at 26 weeks. I didn't even bother with my OB/midwife to gain the dr note but instead saw my usual physician who empathized and supported my decision to go out. She wrote the supporting documentation and I was all set. See another physician or nurse practitioner who will listen and support you.

I cut my hours during my first trimester. I'm on my feet 10 hours a day and at a very stressful job. Even more so because the time I found out I was pregnant the company was making huge changes and my patients were pissed off and yelling at me for 10 hours straight every day. It got to the point where I have anxiety attacks and cry going into work. I was worried about stress causing a miscarriage so I went down to only working 3 days a week. I still hate my job but I feel like I'm stuck there. My boss is super lenient with the schedule I want now and what I want when I return from maternity leave. I'm not in the position to stay home fulltime right now which sucks, but I knew that was what would happen since we decided to try now instead of wait 2 more years like originally planned. But being on my feet hasn't gotten to me yet but I'm still pretty early so that may change lol

Most people don't cut their hours if your low risk so your doc/ midwife will most likely not say anything about it. I'm 36 weeks and spend 12 hours on my feet.

I'm 30 weeks and 3 days. I asked about hours being reduced and my doctor said she won't give a note unless it's medically necessary. So basically she told me to suck it up and work. Even after I told her I'm on my feet 8-9 hours a day in 95-100 degrees w/ no AC.
