Why some homophobes ok with lesbians?

I've heard people say extremely homophobic things and when I confront them they say they're "fine with two girls". I'd think they were just trying to save face if i didn't see stuff like that online. Why is that?

Some homophobes are okay with the thought of lesbian relationships mainly because of their use on port sites. That seem like the only time their are acceptable in society, which isn't okay

the idea of two girls or lesbians has gotten a bit fetishistic if you ask me, and it's really unfair. people are just that fickle and it makes it worse when they expect folks to be okay with that. 😒
