Nexplanon???

Girls! I been thinking about getting the Nexplanon in my arm for my new form of birth control. I was formerly on the pill and I kept forgetting to take it so it screwed up my cycles. I've heard a lot of good and bad thing about the Nexplanon. Any opinions? Or should I try a new type of birth control?

I know many girls who have the implant and love it.
I considered it before I got my Mirena IUD.

It's an easy and very effective method of birth control.

All you can do is try it for 3-6 months to see if it works with your body.
If it doesn't, you can have it removed and try something else.
If it works, then excellent!

I got it earlier this month and it has already gotten rid of my period and I've had unprotected sex more than a few times . I do think it has made my sex drive sort of disappear but there's nothing like extra foreplay to fix that right up. Also my appetite has vanished, which I think is good.

I have had this for over a year and I didn't have problems with it till recently. It just feels like a pinching sensation in my arm. Also, if you're overweight, I do not recommend this. I gained 100 pounds in a year from this. I'm going to have it removed

I had the nexplanon until a week or two ago. I got it taken out. At first I really loved it but after a few weeks I had a period that lasted over two months and that wasn't okay with me. But it works differently for everyone. I have always bled while on pills and that's why I tried the implant but it did the same to me unfortunately. But it is a good idea for sure. I knew I wouldn't miss a dose lol. I just had my son in February and I def don't want anymore kids yet. So I'm upset it didn't work for me but I'd give it a shot if I were you.

It's definitely a personal thing and different for everyone. I for 1 love mine. I don't have many side affects and I don't have to worry about talking it or anything. Keep in mind that there is an adjustment period. For 3 weeks I was really emotional and it made me nauseous but once I got passed that it's been great. I'd say it's definitely worth a try and if it works for you it's one of the easiest methods.
