Dark brown reddish discharge?

I'm 39 weeks and had my cervix checked today. I went to the bathroom and had brownish red discharge.. Anyone else? Should I wait to see if it continues ?

Its so disappointing to see women ask questions that there doctor didn't explain to them. Things that are so common and normal. It seems like a lot of doctors don't take there time with there patients and explain what to expect.
Spotting after having your cervix checked is totally normal, something your doctor should've explained to you

Mucus plug?  Had you lost it yet?

It's normal to have some spotting after being checked. But with you being so close is wear a pad just to monitor it. If it seems too much then go to L&D
