Who knew it could be this tough

Looking through every single website for crib bedding and themes for a baby is so difficult! I just can't chose for my baby boy

I didn't want anything "baby", "animals", or "characters". So we are going with pink, grey, and white. It will grow with her better.

This is our third and I am going a completely different way.  Baby will be in our room for awhile, so I want more of a pattern design vs cutie animals, etc. Not sure of boy or girl yet. These are my top choices.

Before we knew what we were having we just began decorating with our personalities. The walls were already multicolored and gender neutral from the previous owners so that saved us from painting. The crib bedding I chose is just grey and white geometric patterns. We really wanted to avoid all of the cutesie baby designs and make it a room that's really unique to our family and one that he can really grow into and continue making it his own.

These pictures are from when we just started decorating, but you can see it's not necessarily "themed" beyond pattern and color.

Search for colors you like and add in art or decor you find along the way. I think it beats the generic themed bedding

I am making all the bedding myself. I picked out robots because they were so freaking cute and now I can't find any robot decor 😭 oh well. Too late to turn back now. Lol

I like the pottery barn sheets and plain bedskirts (that can go with anything).  I have to continually laugh at the "bedding sets" when babies cant have pillows, blankets, or bumpers in the crib. It is a complete waste. We bought a navy crib skirt and three cool fitted sheets in various blue patterns. We are doing a coastal theme. Im not into anything too nautical or childlike (eg Finding Nemo, even though i adore the film). Just pick things you generally like, the heck with old fashioned themes. gl

Try Lambs and Ivy. They have several based on different themes and they're sold at major retailers. I'm going with a sports theme for my baby boy, but didn't want it to just be balls lol. But I found a really cute one made by L&I that is a great mix between sports and baby lol
