Baby boy name

So my husband and I are in disagreement about what to name our son. I LOVE the name Ben/Benjamin and so does he however, he said he would never name him that because of our last name which is Dean. So our sons name would be Ben Dean. He thinks it sounds too much like "bending." He's crazy right? That's a stretch and he won't get made fun of for that, right? Or am I wrong? Should we ditch the name? Help!
