Homemade pregnancy test ?!

Has anyone ever tried the homemade pregnancy test (adding toothpaste , detol ect too pee) do they work ?

Some of them are probably fun to try like the old wives tales for the gender but if you really needed to know I would just get a test lol can't beat .88 cents.
