Partial Mucus Plug Loss at 20 Weeks
Yesterday I lost part of my mucus plug. I called my doctor and her nurse told me not to worry. But, I keep hearing and reading stories about preterm labor when this happens. Has this happened to anyone else, and if so, what were the results? I'm kinda annoyed that the nurse didn't take me seriously. I'm only halfway through my pregnancy and lost a big piece of the plug that's protecting my baby and keeping her in me. I feel like my doctors office doesn't do a very good job explaining things, and doesn't take anything seriously. My anatomy scan revealed that I have placenta previa, which wasn't explained to me until I called the next day because I was confused by what the doctor meant by low placenta. Anyway, I'm just wondering if anyone else has lost part of their plug, and if so, what happened and how it was handled.
