Need physical therapy?

My daughter is 15 months old, she's not walking and only stands unassisted for a few seconds. At her 15 month check up they said she needed to be checked by a physical therapist to see if anything is wrong. My husband said we should just wait it out she'll walk when she wants to. I say she needs to be checked out. What do y'all think?

I wouldnt take the chance but  my son is in physical therapy due to tight muscels in his kneck that make him hold his head funny. He is 3months old.

If something is up, it's way better to know sooner rather than later. And if nothing is the matter then you'll know and it might give you some peace of mind

Trust the doctor. If something is wrong it will be exponentially better for the kiddo if you catch it early. Better safe than sorry!

I'm a physiotherapist. Some babies just develop slower than others but I would personally rather have your baby checked out to make sure there's nothing else going on. Early intervention is always best. Maybe hubby is just scared there's something wrong with her but denial doesn't help. If there is something wrong, early treatment can help her faster.

My niece didn't start walking til 1 day before she turned 18 months. Some babies just don't want to walk. She realized she was faster crawling. She'll be 2 in 3 weeks and now we can't get her to sit still.
