Where any of your miscarriages ever really physically painful?

I just had a miscarriage on June 22 and the days after that where the most painful cramps I've ever had in my life...it was horrible it put me in a bad mood and I was all types of emotional and I went to the hospital twice and they couldn't do anything.... It was crazy if that's how much it hurt I can't imagine how bad it would've hurt if I would've given birth I mean that I don't mind but this pain was just crazy and I had an early miscarriage which I read, are usually not that painful...where any of your miscarriages physically painful?

Yep I had what I can only describe as contractions. My doctor said it would be like a heavy period. Ha. I gave birth to my baby- to call it anything else is insulting.  It was so incredibly painful and I think it was worse because I was not expecting it and wasn't prepared for it.

When I had my miscarriage the pain that I experienced was worse than anything I had ever felt.

I didn't know until I gave birth to my son that the pain was almost like the mild contractions that I had early in the labour process.

Yes. I've had 3 losses all different forms, my first was a medically necessatated termination and D&C, my second unfortunately the termination and D&C caused permenant cervical damage, so now it can't handle the weight of a growing baby on it's own, i went into spontaneous labour and delivered our sweet little boy at 20weeks gestation, obviously i had contractions and they hurt a bit, but where I'm from this gestation is deemed stillbirth, then i had a 5w4d gestation miscarriage and it literally consisted of just excruciating cramping, no bleeding, just cramping went for a sonogram the next day and no baby in sight didn't bleed for another 5 weeks after that

Yes, mine were quite painful. My first (4-5w?) I was only able to speculate since I wasn't sure I was pregnant. I had bad cramps then passed the tiny (1/4") baby bean, and a lot of blood. I think I remember clots, too. I didn't confirm my suspicions until my second mc...

I was 7w5d, so still considered early. I had cramps for several hours, but was able to sleep thru much of it. Around 4 or 5 am 6/3 I I woke up moaning (I've done this with cysts too, but not in waves.) & recognized that the cramps had been like waves that were getting stronger & stronger. I didn't know at that point it was a blighted ovum and that there was no way to save the pregnancy, so I was telling my body 'No. Don't open!' which made it take more time & caused me more pain. I realised it was contractions & soon delivered half the placenta early that morning. After some more sleep & more intense contractions I passed the other half of the placenta around 8 or 9 that morning. Contractions stopped immediately, but cramps continued for a few days, but the intensity & pain were way less than any bad cramps. What I didn't expect was the abdominal weakness & bruised feeling internal organs... that lasted more than a week!

The cramping I had during the mc was on-par with some of the worst menstrual cramps I've had. The contractions were much worse, closer to the amount of pain a burst ovarian cyst causes, but it's a different pain (cyst pain is sharper). I think fear/anxiety (etc.) made it worse.

Please, don't think that a mc isn't giving birth. Yes, it's smaller, but it's still your child, and your body is doing the same job, just on a smaller scale.

My early m/c was quite painful, I don't get period pain normally but I'm guessing it felt like really bad period pain, I had cramps and would pass massive clots then it would settle again I was on Panadol and nurofen around the clock. I also had a m/c at 19.5weeks I had no symptoms of a m/c and was induced and gave birth, it was a completely different experience and I managed without any pain relief.

My first miscarriage wasn't painful at all. Just bleeding and no cramps. But the one I'm having now is very painful :(

I started miscarrying on the 19th and I had the WORST cramps of my life... I was sitting in bed holding my stomach and rocking back and forth. I have never had cramps like that when I used to get really bad cramps during my heavy periods. Those were nothing. I also started having a panic attack after I started miscarrying and got really shaky and dizzy... Worst night of my life and my SO was a good 200 miles away and had no idea what was happening.. 😭😭😢

My cramps have gone on for DAYS every time and they are always unbearable to the point my doc has to prescribe pain meds. Granted, my first one I thought was just the worst period of my life and didn't know I was pregnant until I decided to check with the doc because the pain was so bad. The first one was the least painful one. I've had four and they hurt worse every time for me.

My first miscarriage was at about 9 or 10 weeks and it was excruciating. The cramps went on for about 8 hours, I was bleeding heavily and vomiting because the pain was so bad. I finally went to ED when it got so bad I was about to pass out  (I was young and very stubborn back then, I didn't think I needed help). My second was a missed miscarriage at 11 weeks. I was booked in for a D&C and started miscarrying the night before. It was painful but not nearly as bad as the first. I got through it without any pain relief, the cramping only lasted a couple of hours and had stopped by the time I went in for the D&C.
