Betamethasone

Has anyone else had to get the steroid shot to mature baby's lungs? I went in this morning to L&D for a routine non stress test. I have them twice a week due to chronic hypertension but controlled with meds. I've had perfect BP the entire pregnancy except for today.My BP was elevated this morning so I had to have lab work done and they gave me the shot to mature the baby's lungs as a precaution in case I had developed preeclampsia and need to deliver early. All my lab work came back normal but man did it ever scare me. I have to do a 24 hour urine collection today so I'm not completely out of the woods yet. So scary! Is anyone else going through something similar? It's hard to keep your BP down when you're worried your little one may be coming 6 weeks early!!
