Any UK mummies work for the NHS and can help me with regards to maternity pay?

I'm confused by option A, 8 weeks INCLUDING statutory pay then 18 weeks half pay PLUS statutory pay. I'm confused by the including and the plus. Can anyone shed any light? My manager is useless and said she doesn't know

Luckyyyy! Georgia doesn't get maternity pay. I'm having to save up all my vacay and sick hours for my 12 weeks that we are offered.

Why don't you speak to HR they are really good at letting you know what all the jargon means! X

I think it's like mine, it means for the first few weeks you get full pay which includes any entitlement to SMP, but then when your on half pay you get SMP on top of your half pay as long as it doesn't take you over 100% of your wage. Hope this makes sense xxx
