How many days PP did you start going on walks?

How many days PP did you start going on walks? Did it make you feel better or worse (more bleeding?)

Before I was discharged the nurse just said to make sure that I take it easy for 1-2 weeks so I don't increase my bleeding and I forgot to ask when I could start walking. I remained active my whole pregnancy so I'm not sure if that helps?

I had a vaginal birth on 6/26, only 4 stitches. A little sore but nothing major. I would be baby wearing. Thanks everyone! 🙂

4 days pp with a second degree tear. I just went slowly and it felt fine.

I started walking 4 days post partum. Started off very slowly. I'm now two weeks post partum and can walk three Miles with almost no pain . I remained active during my pregnancy and I think it has helped me bounce back quicker. I totally recommend walking !

I started right away. I saw a decrease in bleeding and I feel great! I only had a few stitches.

Thank you guys! I think I'll probably wait a couple days. Surprisingly I don't have much pain down there even though I got stitches but TMI I got a hemorrhoid from pushing and it hurts 😞

Is this walking around the streets or parks such as for 20-30 mins or just around the house and shops?

I started walking at 4 days pp and felt great! It was so beneficial to my mental health to get out and walk. We don't have family near us so I got a little stir crazy. At about 6 days pp I walked 2 miles and did a little too much and ended up getting more bleeding (it had almost stopped) so I slowed back down and when the bleeding stopped I started again and just took it slow. I have been walking pretty much daily since and sometimes I notice a little more bleeding for an hour or so and sometimes I don't. Just listen to your body! Good luck 😊

The day after I left the hospital..i was there 5 days because my son had jaundice. I had a second degree tear, I just took it slow. I can't sit around all day

I started right away. While I was in the hospital and the nursery had my son for testing I would walk the halls. It helped with the cramping. I actually walked from my delivery room to my recovery room. My nurse kept asking me if I was sure I just had a baby lol.
