Menstrual cups?

Question

I have very very heavy, irregular, absolutely annoying periods. They can last for up to 3 weeks at a time, with only 2 weeks in between them. I want to start using the cups instead of tampons because I'm spending so much money on tampons, but my husband finds it gross, and refuses to listen to me.

Keep in mind that I can't just go buy my own at the moment. Due to other medical reasons, I can't drive and I have a fear of using my card to order offline, so I make him sit there when I order things.

Also, I am on birth control. It's not enough to regulate my periods (somebody always tries to tell me I need birth control when I'm already on it)

How do I possibly get my husband to understand that I'm not just being gross? Lol. He never has a problem with tampons in the trash cans and stuff, but has a problem with a cup he'll never see? I don't get it. Does anybody else have this issue with their SO? My doesn't care what I do... EVER... but he's pretty set on this not happening. I even had him watch a video that explained what the cups were, and he pretty much acted like he never saw it.

I love my cup. They are so much better for your body, and are so much easier. I have so many people tell me that it's gross or whatever, but you actually don't even see any blood. It's not any worse than changing a tampon. I told my husband I started using one, and told him how much money I was saving every month (used to spend almost 40$ a month on tampons because i bleed so much), and he was all for it. Have him watch some videos about them so he understands that they are perfectly safe, and actually better for your body, moat cost effective, and less hassle. 
If you order directly from the brands website you'll be fine using your card online. Also health food stores usually sell them as well.

It's not for him, he's a grown man, he shouldn't care. He should be mature enough to understand that you need this, it's more sanitary than a tampon. Show him some information on it and he's still being a brat, get someone else to buy it for you.

I've actually found my cup to be way more hygienic than pads and tampons. As long as you keep the cup clean it's way better. Tell him that. Also tell him that you will be less stressed and anxious about heavy flows, especially when you're out and about together, as the cup lasts hours longer than any tampon before emptying. Oh and you'll save heaps of money!
