Primrose oil???

Question

I just got back from my midwife appointment. I'm needing to be induced early at 38 weeks for medical reasons and she wants to start me on primrose oil at 36 weeks. What's the purpose of this? I should have asked but it was a quick app

It helps to soften the cervix. I've been taking them orally and vaginally for the last 3 weeks, and they really do work! It's best if you insert a couple at bedtime and leave them in overnight so the oil can get right onto your cervix. :) Usually my man with throw a couple in before sex too so he pushes them right up there and they break during the deed, otherwise he helps me get them in at night. You could also use a dildo to help push them up, or I've even used the applicator from a canesten pack.
