So I'm married so this doesn't apply anymore but I dated this guy in high school and we had sex. It totally changed everything and it wasn't good. It was all he could think about and after we broke up he admitted that the last three months of our relationship he only stayed with me because I was sleeping with him. He broke up with me because I made us stop. It sucked and my heart hurt for a long time, I thought I could marry him. I so wish I would've waited and that my husband had been the first.

it made us more open communicators. we can tell each other our likes and dislikes, what works for us and what doesn't. I think a lot of it is because we discussed having sex beforehand and waited until we were both ready which facilitated so much trust and closeness

However, that could be part of the reason we were so close from the very start, because we had been so intimate at the start.
