Did I over reacted? ? (Sorry really long)

So me and my boyfriend live with my MIL, i don't really talk to her because we don't really see each other, we live in a 5 bedroom house, she stays in the lower floor and I stay in the upper floor and she's always in her room and I'm always in my room, I hate people rubbing my belly idk why I'm just not used to someone touching me but my boyfriend, yesterday when I came inside from the park with my boyfriend she said miriam come here I'm going to rub your belly, before I could say something my boyfriend say "no she doesn't like it," (he knows I'm to shy to say something ) n she got really offended I got all red and say I don't like people touching my skin" and in a NICE way I said "you can rub it just on top of my T-SHIRT okay?" she got all mad saying "I want to feel the baby not your cloth" and stuff like that, I just stayed quiet, later on that day my boyfriend said something about her drinking to much soda n said you "need to stay healthy so you can take care of my daughter" she looked at me and say " oh am I going to be allow to be close to her?" Like why wouldn't you? She said" I know miriam doesn't like me so I don't think she will even let me get close to the baby but it's fine I don't really care anyway" idk what to do know I'm to shy to say anything and even though I don't like the way she is or acts I don't want her to not like me or whatever I care about her and ik I'm going to be with her for a long time since my boyfriend and her are really close to one on other :( should I ask my boyfriend to talk to her and make her understand I didn't ment to make her feel bad???
