excruciating pain while on my period 😬😬

okay so i got my period about 2 or 3 years ago for the first time and my period is totally regular except for a awful pain that i get maybe 3 or 4 times a day while im on my period. i can't quite explain where the pain is, it's deep inside the space above your pubic bone. this only started about a year ago, it hurts REALLY bad but the pain only lasts for about 20 seconds. i can feel it coming on and when it happens i can't move until it ends. if anyone else experiences this or knows anything about it please help!!
