How did you ask your husbands ?

When the topic of wanted a baby came up, how did you and your husband go about it? I know for a lot of people some pregnancies aren't planned but I'm asking for advice from those of you who planned it with your SO. I just don't know where to begin to have the conversation with him, it makes me nervous, he'd be a great father and he got baby fever the second he saw pictures of when I was a baby. That tells me he wants kids but I just don't know how to ask if we can atleast try ?we have a puppy, that'll keep me company while he is deployed, but what if it's not enough? I read so many posts about connections women feel with their babies and how life got so much better for them and their husbands. Our marriage is amazing, I'd just like to start our family now. Help 😕

I told my fiance that I really wanted a baby. He took a lot of soothing and reassuring because he felt afraid, and not ready. Now he couldn't be more happy!

It was time for me to start a new pack of bc and I didn't want to. We talked about it for about a month with whether we were ready to or not, and in the end, I just didn't start my next month of pills.

We were originally planning on waiting until the fall to start ttc, but right after AF ended this month I asked him if he could think about starting now instead. He thought about it for a day, and said yes.

I just showed him a binch of hilarious baby videos on youtube and said arnt they cuuuutee? And he said yess and we started talking about little mini me's :)

I said to him I want to have a baby. He said no, it's not the right time. Then a couple of weeks later he said ok let's try and have a baby.

I just kinda asked my husband how he felt about kids, and if he would maybe want to not "try" but go without any sort of birth control for a while ans he agreed. We were gunna wait till he was out of the army but that was like 5 years away at the time.

The way I did it was we were going over our goals for the next 5 years. I let him go first and he mentioned having a kid or 2. That let me know he wanted them pretty soon. I then asked when he would like to start trying for a baby since he wanted 2 and pregnancy takes 9 months! Lol So we agreed we'd start trying last month. This conversation was earlier this year. We had an unplanned pregnancy last year but we miscarried. We just wanted to get a few things done before trying again.
