HELP!!!! sign of labor?

Hey guys, I'm currently 39 weeks 2 days pregnant and I went to the bathroom this morning and noticed my discharge was brown (like my period just ended). I got checked yesterday afternoon, and Doctor said I was 4cm but I hadn't had real contractions, so we scheduled for an induction on Saturday morning. My body feels like I'm about to start my period. No contractions have started yet and I have been feeling my baby move a lil. Is this something to be concerned about or is it just the start of labor? Any advice on what to do?

Could just be where they checked your cervix

It's what whatever you need for peace of mind, you could call your doctor and ask if it's ok and their opinion. Or just know it's most likely where they've checked your cervix. I have light spotting everytime.

It sounds like the result of your check, since it happened yesterday.

My MD always warns me that there could be slight spotting pink or brown after having a cervical check. If it's a lot or really mucousy though could be your plug.
