Yes, I believe they should.

There has been multiple people I have stopped hanging out with because my husband doesn't like them. Mind you, he has good reasons not to like them.

But you can't demand your SO to cut someone out of their life. You're not their parent, not their boss.

The best thing you can do is tell them how you feel, explain your reasoning, and hope that they respect the way you feel.

Yes if that person isn't right for them than you should mention it to your partner ! Sometimes it takes another person to see what a true friend is

I don't like a couple of my boyfriend's friends. But they aren't close friends so I don't have to see or hear about them often at all. One friend in particular has always been a jerk to me and my friends (though since learning who my boyfriend is he's been nicer to me I guess out of respect for my boyfriend but I haven't forgotten the gross comments he's made to me). I've told my boyfriend this and he knows that I don't like this person. But I won't ask him to stop being friends with him. My boyfriend does hang out with him less now and he very rarely brings me around him but they're still friends. I don't really mind personally because I know my boyfriend isn't a big fan of a few of my friends either and it's not like our relationship is being affected in any way by this friendship. As long as it doesn't hurt my relationship I'm not worried.

I say yes. Only because I've done it before. You sacrifice. I made him cut a person out that treated me bad. I feel like it's disappointing you have to ask them to though, depending on the reason.

Honestly you can't stop someone from talking to people. When my parents were still married my Dad would always invite his best friend and wife to places him and my mother would go. My momma couldn't STAND his friends. My dad's "best friend" would talk shit about My momma and Dad's relationship all the time my momma would bring this up every time to my dad but he failed to listen so she gave up. You can tell your partner about why you feel the way you feel and if they don't wanna listen oh well let them look like a fucking fool.
