So confused can anyone make sense of this

So, I've lost a man I'm mad about. So mad about, and I seem to spend all my time analysing everything he's ever said to me, and this one thing stands out, when I met him last year, it was meant to be for casual sex, on our first night together he told me he was never having anymore children as he already has two sons, so if I want children he isn't the man for me, threw out our 6 months together he always went on about no babies and never having more kids bla bla bla, he was obsessed with the topic. So when I announced my pregnancy to him, at 35 weeks. He was quick to change his mind, and said he was no longer going for the snip because he's never been properly in love and could meet the love of his life one day and want a family.
