Anyone take Metformin to get pregnant?

I just got put on Metformin this morning... Anyone take it? Did it work? How long did it take? Side effects? Anything I should know would be helpful!! Thank you!

Diarrhea!! That was really the only side affect that I noticed. It was terrible the first few weeks. I've been on it since March 2nd and have lost 15 pounds (I think from all the extra pooping lol). I still get bad diarrhea according to what I eat. Overall it had been a good step for me.

I was on it for months, I got off because of dental work. I got pregnant the month I stopped taking it !

I can now say YES!! I have been on metformin for 6 months and take 2000mg per day along with ovasitol (recommended on glow) thought it can't hurt to try! I am still in shock to get my BFP 14th July (I had blood tests every month in January - may and had not ovulated at all!!) I just got referred to fertility treatment and boom positive HPT - miracles happen ladies

I ovulated for the first time in 6 months after taking Metformin for about 4-5 weeks. It's greatly helped to shorten my cycles from 100+ days to around 40. Because my cycles were still long I was put on Clomid as well.

The first week I took Metformin I had some diarrhea which turned to constipation, but now I'm just fine :)

I just got back on metformin Monday. Doctor said that I HAVE to take it since I was just recently diagnosed with PCOS. The side effects has been awful. Sick all day long. But a lot of people has told me that I'll just get use to it. Here's hoping that it works!! Good luck to you as well.

You can expect diarrhea for sure, no matter what you eat. After a week or two, it should calm down and only really suck if you eat too many carbs. Carbs are our enemy, 😒 but, Metformin is a good med to take for pcos, it really helped me
