Odor??

Question

Hey ladies.. has anyone had discharge and odor throughout their pregnancy? I feel like my underwear are always wet and maybe it's from urine leaking that's producing the odor, but I NEVER feel clean. I have to wash myself at least twice a day it's embarrassing. This wasn't an issue before getting pregnant. I'm 34 weeks and it's been since at least 20 weeks that I've dealt with this. Any input would be great!

Same here 😭 same feeling. Nothing we can do but keep washing down there more often and wear pantyliners. They help me. (Scented ones lol) I never needed to wash downstair in the past when I woke up but now it's like URGENT. My doctor told me it's normal and not to worry, this will get back to normal after the birth. Hope this helps;-) you are not alone.

I faced the same thing at my 28w. I wasn't leaking but my doctor checked a sample and confirmed bacterial vaginosis and yeast infection. I used metrogel for BV and one medicine for yeast. The odor still didn't go. Next time when she took the sample, she confirmed that the infections have gone away. So I asked her if it could be external and she suggested vagisil wipes which are pregnancy safe. Will have to try, just got them yesterday. Odor is usually a sign of infection. I'd suggest get a sample checked by your ob, no harm. If it's not that, then you can ask for wipes to keep yourself clean. Infections are known to cause preterm labor, so do not ignore.
