When and gow often should I give my baby a bath?

This might sound stupid, but I am really confused being a FTM. What time shoulf I give my baby a bath? During the evening when its warm outside, or at night before be. How often should I do it?. My mom always gave us a bath at around 2 pm cause its warm and we wont catch a cold, but all my friends gives bath to their kids at night so that they are clean and sleep well.

Every person/family is different. We do baths every night. It's part of our routine. My kids have never had skin issues because of too many baths. So we'll be doing the same with this baby!

Newborns need baths about 2-3 times a week, make sure you wipe off with warm wash cloth under neck and crevices daily though, milk gathers under their neck and it can get a yeast infection.
Once you establish a night time routine and baby starts going to bed at a certain time a night I always followed the 4 B's "Bath, Book,bottle/breast,Bed". A good warm bath, a little lotion massage with lavender, clean Jammie's, a book, some warm milk, and they're out!

What ever works for your schedule. I tend to do it before bed after he has played all day if he is really dirty. He may have one mid day or right after breakfast if I made something super messy for the meal.

So, my mum only bathed us once a week as babies and she NEVER bathed us until our cord fell off! We didn't get regular baths until we were 6mo+. 
She would wipe us down every night, get in our rolls and under our chin and put pjs on. Babies don't need bathed as much as everyone seems to do it. We never had skin problems, butt problems etc. I reckon I'll be doing the same.

Depends on each child I've only recently started to bathe my son at night again because he went through a phase of it making him excitable and then it took hours to get him to sleep he's now 20 months and he has a bath 3 times a week and a wash by the sink the other days

Everyday without shampoo. Maybe after a few months, shampoo once a week.

I bathe baby every orher day and depending on the skin type might do it less often. I'll wash baby up for sure (i.e. under the arms, between the neck rolls if they're there, their toes and fingers), but anymore I've found with my babies to irritate their skin and that's with products designed for babies that are 100% natural and for babies with sensitive skin.
