how does getting birth control from planned parenthood work

so I have been wondering for a while how to get it because my mom certainly won't, and she's always been in charge of my medical insurance, but I turned 18 today and I got my own insurance card in the mail. since my mom always handled insurance I don't really know what you do with this card 😂 do I just like show up and flash my card like "hey, I would like birth control" I'm just not sure if it's that easy and like an in then out sort of thing or if there's more of a process than that
